As an owner of this Paranormal Investigation Company and Paranormal Investigator its my duty and job to find the answers to the questions being asked about the strange things the team or anyone else has seen or heard, answers to the unexplained.

My team and I did 3 investigations at this small lake in the Mt Hood National Forest named Little Crater Lake and found some very interesting facts about this little lake. Sure if you look on line and type in haunted little crater lake you'll find a few things about this lake like how some have seen kids swimming in the lake and some have heard strange screaming happening at the lakes campgrounds and sightings of a cat that would disappear when they walked up to pet the cat. Well for each investigation we conducted there we saw, heard and witnessed something strange at the lake.

The first investigation we did we investigated the lake for 5 hours and heard some things that really shouldn't be heard by the human ear, meaning we heard some of the scariest screams and sounds that I can bet you 90% of the worlds population has ever heard or ever will hear. Lots to hear and record that night.

The second time we did a 6 hour investigation and took some photos that when I show them to others they can't believe what they are seeing so much to the point that at the end of the showing they no longer see what they were just looking at just minute before, It is so strange to them that they block out the real thing (if you know what I mean) its like what they are seeing is so unbelievable that it not what they were really seeing or looking at. We took photos of this cat that we saw walking on the main trail, it was a normal white fluffy house cat (so we thought) I personally went to go pet this cat and when I got o I would say 2 feet from it, it vanished, Yes thats what I said vanished, right in front of my eyes, I rubbed my eyes and had to take a second look at that point I was telling myself that that just did not happen. I backed up about 10 feet and the cat reappeared so I slowly walked toward the cat once again and when getting 2-3 feet from it, it once again disappeared in front of me. as I was getting up from the kneeling position (from trying to pet the cat) I took out my camera and started walking backwards thinking the cat would reappear like it did before, well low and behold it did so I took a shot with my camera and it came out a man figure walking away form us (the team). In the photo that I took you will notice a demonic face at the lower leg area of this figure, this was the area the cat was when I took the photo. During the same investigation but a couple of hours later we heard what we could only describe as a screaming animal being tortured. across the lake from were we were standing, in one of many pictures that we took we caught a Bigfoot looking creature on the other side of the lake, but this wasn't Bigfoot (it was see-through) it was standing in one spot for about 20-30 seconds then disappeared.

That same night we were doing an EVP session and asked what was ever there to show its self for us. One of my Investigators asked if there was anyone with us at that time could it please touch his shoulder to prove its presents. He focused on saying the word please for some reason saying it before and after asking to show its self to us. Seconds later we all saw this super bright ball of light (or energy) come out of the woods and touch the team member on his right shoulder. A second member asked if this was real then it would be able to touch her hair if asked, so she asked if it could touch her hair and like it was our slave it flew over to her and flew through her hair, at this time I had taken out my camera and I asked if it could touch our voice recorder, less than a second later it flew over the recorder and touched the recorder. This is the same time I took a picture at the recorder and caught this ball of light doing what we were asking of it. It didn't like the flash of the camera apparently, a second later it took off into the same wooded area it came out of. Before this time I have never been able to see a real orb with my naked eye, but this ball of energy was so bright and strong we all (the whole team) saw this it with our naked eyes.

The third night we investigated this lake we decided to do an overnight investigation. We started the investigation at around 630 pm walking into this open area where there was a very large tree that was broke and had fallen, about 1/2 mile from the entrance to the lake itself. We were so successful with our previous EVP sessions we decided to start with talking to what ever was there. before we had even started the EVP we all heard foot steps rustling around near us, asking one of my team members to start taking shots in the area of the sounds he took 4 pictures a second apart from each other and captured 3 spirits on the third photo. The first picture he took we saw nothing in the photo and the same with the second one, but the third one we caught the three spirits like they were posing for us and wanted to be seen, the fourth one taken just 1 second later showed all three not there anymore including a branch that was hang down from the broken tree that one of these spirits was lingering off of. Another spirit was of a bold looking little man type figure just walking around and the third spirit and the most strange is a figure of a 12 -13 year old child that had walk right in front of a large tree stump and clearly wanted us to notice him, clearly we were able to see he was wearing jeans and a white shirt and this boy really wanted to be noticed and we did as clear as day after the pictures were taken. later that night at about 4am we decided to rest at the campsite, so we found an empty site that had a bench and a fire pit so we put our stuff away and sat for a while, I went to gather up some old tree branches and wood so we could start a small fire in the pit. We started a fire and all sat around it talking about what we had seen that night, about 20 minutes into our fire we heard very sharp screeching screaming coming from within the camp fire, (within the flames) so one of my investigators took out her camera an took a picture in the flames and what came out on photo was this fire woman figure on fire fighting with an alien monster looking thing in the flames of this camp fire we were having both screaming like they were being tortured fire demon's (hard to explain)

I have been spending months and months researching why and how these ghosts could possibly be there and the whole team is unable to come up with anything about these things that we saw and heard. We have pictures and EVP of all three investigations and have pictures of all the spirits and demon looking things that we just mentioned. I have been doing this for 10 years and have never come across a place so haunted in my life. and have never come across the most friendly spirits. Ghost Hunters show: you don't even come close. Little Crater Lake is truly the most haunted place I have ever seen or investigated in my life. and Ghost P.A.R.T.I. is the only Investigation company that has permission to legally investigate this area by the National Forest Service. and will again and again.

How would you like to see a real orb? a strong orb, an orb that does what you ask of it. We set this orb on a 3 task journey, first we asked for if anything is out here with us can it please show itself in any way shape or form (Via an EVP session) we asked if there was anything out there can you please touch my partners shoulders? 2-4 seconds later it did just that. Then we asked if it was possable that it make somthing move in front of the team (EVP session) with 4 investigators there for that session we all witnessed this big ball of energy looking thing float towards our feet and touch another investigators foot. By this time we could see this thing with plain site no tools or equipment. This was also the time when the SP camera was pulled out and a shot was taken at this time (we saw nothing on this pic) we then asked for it to touch the recorder, we all saw this orb float towards the recorder and (we took another pic as it was foating to the recorder) and it touches the recorder and before I could ask it to do something else it floated away real fast (I only wanted it to do three things in the first place, remember) and it was like it knew that or it was late for a hot date, well I don't know, you tell me... For all that read this little diddy... !! SPIRITS AND GHOSTS ARE REAL!!

This photo was taken on an investigation at a small lake in the Mt Hood National Forest, this is Little Crater Lake. This is a scary place very haunted. Would you believe I caught 3 spirits in this one pic. Can you see them. You will have to zoom in on this picture to see them, some hints. There is a boy figure in front of a large stump, this stump is accually only 2 1/2 feet high! There is a small tree branch hanging down just to the left of the tree stump I spoke about previously, this branch is hanging form the broken tree. Look closer to the top of the branch. Do you see the face looking to the left. The other one is in the background and very hard to see. This is me at the far, far left of the picture. I'm 6'4 feet tall.

Actual Real Ghost Picture? You Decide

This is picture of my fiance's mother, aunt, and two uncles on Memorial Day, 1999. They were at a family cemetery [in KY] paying respects to their parents, as well as other relatives buried there. The tombstone beside of them is that of their parents. Maybe one of their parents were there to see their children together on this day of remembrance, or maybe one of them wanted to be in the picture with them. Who knows?

UFOs and Bigfoot - Is There a Connection?

More and more people are starting to believe that there may be some connection between UFO sightings and the elusive Bigfoot (or Sasquatch) sightings. Whether or not they are related is, of course, nearly impossible to prove or dispute with the lack of any actual physical evidence of either.

The theory has been floating around for several years, and some people are even trying to forge a link between caves, UFOs, and bigfoot - claiming that caves and lava tubes could be openings, portals, and travel spaces for UFOs and possibly provide entrance into the earth for "inner-terrestrial" beings. This theory is often combined with, or in dispute of - extraterrestrial beings. It is certainly an interesting theory, that UFOs could be coming from the ground through openings in the earth, and subsequently sighted in flight - never actually LEAVING our atmosphere.

There is an abundance of photographic "documentation" of unidentified floating/flying objects in the skies, and a theory to go with each of them. But the various theories that UFOs and sasquatch could be part of the same phenomenon brings up new questions as to the origin and supposed dwelling places - the possibility that we share our earth with them.

Our investigation was supposed to begin with 5 investigators and one videographer, well it ended up being a two investigator investigation. My partner did bring his brother with him on our hunt so we were not totally bare. We left Shorty's Corner in Sandy about 10:30 pm on that Saturday. This is one haunted cemetery we have never been to so we not only did we get all turned around but we really got lost. We had stopped at 5-6 gas stations and no one knew were this place was. This Cemetery has no real address and really hard to find if you have never been there before, not to mention the Cemetery itself is in a heavy wooded area. We finally decided to stop by the police station and thought we may run into a officer, and so it be! a couple of men in blue. We asked the nice officers (they really were cool) if they knew were the cemetery was, they asked us why we wanted to know, we told them that we were conducting an investigation there and that we did have permission to do our hunt, one officer said alright and went inside to find out if anyone knew in the station, he came back saying that someone in the station told him it was behind the church right down the street. Once we arrived we started our investigation with an EVP session . One hour or so into our investigation we all noted some flashlights coming our way then we heard "Police" they asked us what we were doing in the Cemetery, we identified ourself and I told them that we were there doing an approved investigation and that we did have permission. It was a little thoughtless on our part not to bring the permission letter to the investigation site so I walked back to the car with the officers (all what 5 or 6 of them) One of the officers remembered my partner from earlier when we pulled him over for a traffic stop. They let us continue our investigation 2 hours later we decided to finish and start our clean up. We had a lot of fun on this investigation, it was in the middle of the forest (so it seemed) and it was a little Cemitary and a freaky place. We will be back... PEACE.

Demonic Fire - Pictures of Ghostly Images in a Campfire

A couple weeks ago, we went to explore some reports of paranormal experiences out at Little Crater Lake. The experience was extraordinary, and we caught some spectacular sound recordings, as well as a very unusual photo.

This picture was taken around 5 a.m. on July 19, 2008. The area was quiet, and we had a small campfire in a fire-pit at the campground. I decided to take a few pictures within the fire before heading out to the Pacific Crest Trail for a short hike. In a series of about 15 pictures taken of the fire, we caught what we are referring to as, "The Fire Demons". Just take a look at this picture, we're able to find several very clear "beings" in this picture - tell us, what do you think? We'd love to read your comments on this really ghostly picture!

Ghost Hunters and COPS

On July 3rd, we went on a volunteer investigation to the Old Pioneer Cemetery in Damascus, Oregon. We have been to the same site on three previous outings with some personal experiences, but no conclusive evidence. We did get stopped by the police all 3 times but with our ID’s at hand and the permission letter in my other hand we were not just cleared for our investigation but all three officers stayed for a while and told us about there experiences while patrolling this area, figures have been seen and strange noises heard.

But on this particular night, we were being taped for some upcoming video productions. We started our investigation without a hitch. About three hours into the investigation, we were involved in a group EVP session when we all heard a strange sound coming from the area where we parked our cars. The team, except for Dane - one of our investigators, started heading toward the noise, and when we reached the sounds we noticed that Dane was pulling a body out from underneath his car! I asked Dane what was going on and he proceeded to tell me that he caught the guy under his truck, cutting off the catalytic converter. The kid, who had to have been under 19, had a cell phone that continued to ring, and Dane took the cell phone and used it to call 9-1-1 with it. (He also answered it when it rang - it was hilarious!)

When the police arrived the kid was handcuffed and placed into the back of the police car. After about 10 minutes of talk and shock amongst ourselves, the officer came back to talk with Dane and take his statement, while I went under the car to apply a temporary fix to the catalytic converter for Dane. With the camera still rolling, our night was turning out much more like an episode of COPS, and nearly an hour later the officer left and we packed up, cutting our investigation short, and then hung out, laughing and talking for awhile about what had just happened. We left the cemetery at about 3:30 a.m. We all had a good laugh when we remember the events, and the fact that Mark had been filming this whole thing from beginning to end. Perhaps you'll see bits of our film here on our site, and maybe a few teasers of our future productions on You-Tube!

Funniest Cemetery Moment

One our funniest moments in a cemetery was also one of our strangest nights yet - but not the paranormal kind of strange, just plain strange!

On our way out, we were pulled over by the police. Just a routine stop, so after showing a license and registration - and a brief explanation of where we were headed (that was an interesting conversation) - and we were on our way.

Upon arriving at the cemetery, we split into two teams of two, Dan and Colleen on one team, and C.J. and Tammy on the other. The cemetery is long and narrow, with an entrance in the center. From there, we split into two different directions.

About a half-hour into the investigation, I heard footsteps behind a row of thick trees, but it was too dark and thick to see in. I knew it was Dan when he asked "Is there anyone there who would like to make themselves known?" At that point, I realized he and Colleen must have been doing EVP work. Hmmm, should I say something? "What's your name?" Dan asked, pausing to allow for an answer. C.J., I thought, but didn't dare say anything. I wasn't sure if everyone else was in the joking mood that I was in. After a few more tempting questions, we popped out of the trees and let them know that there was in fact someone there!

A few more hours into the investigation, there was another "tempting" opportunity - but this time, the whole team wanted in on the fun. We were again on two separate ends of the cemetery, and a group of young people pull up in two cars and immediately head into the entrance of the cemetery - right between our two teams. We decided to move around to the outside of the property, along the fence and out the far end of the cemetery. But each time we moved, they shined flashlights our way, daring each other to walk into the cemetery.

At that point, we realized that any visible move we made would perhaps be interpreted as a "ghost in the cemetery" - which would be hilarious - but not nice, considering they were not part of our team. Instead, we would wait for periods of no light, and continue to round the perimeter until we were nearly out. But just as we were about to round the last set of trees, we see a police car pull up. Considering we had already explained to one officer that we were headed out to spend the night in a haunted cemetery, we decided to stay within the trees. Dan and Colleen had different plans, but while discussing their escape (and laughing about how funny it would be if we had a hat and long coat for Dan to "appear" in) the group ran to their cars and sped away.

The police officer headed out after them, and we used the radios to let each other know to meet back at the car. But on our way back to the car, the police car pulled up to our car, and began writing down our license plate number! He obviously thought we were part of the brave group of youngsters playing dare. We all arrived around the same time, and Tammy immediately said to the officer, "Did you see all of those ghosts that ran out of the cemetery a few minutes ago?" The officer laughed, and then asked what we were doing out so late.

After explaining why we were there, and that we had permission to be there, we all laughed about the situation. The officer then went on to tell us a few of his own late night paranormal experiences, not only from his time with the police department, but from his days one of the colleges in the Portland area. By the way, there are several Portland area colleges that are rumored to be haunted, so we plan a few trips once we have permission, so stay tuned for those in the future!

Do You Believe that Paranormal Activity or Ghosts Really Exist?

While cultural differences and religious beliefs often influence whether a person believes or disbelieves in the presence of ghosts or some other entities (either organic or inorganic entities) , it is fair to say that personal experiences with the unexplained can - and often do - change everything about a person's life. These personal experiences can be so intense, that many people are unable to shake the feeling that we are not alone. For some, the answer as to whether or not they believe that something beyond our perceptive capabilities exists is not summed up in a simple answer, but is easier explained with their descriptive tale of a ghostly encounter.

We've all heard the campground ghost story that sounds so unbelievably spectacular - yet we wonder if there was an element of truth in its past. Other stories sound so flimsy and leave so much open to debate that they are often dismissed as a figment of the imagination. However, in recent years, it seems that there is much more talk about paranormal activity than in previous generations. Are there more people having these paranormal experiences - or are we just more accepting of the possibilities of what could be? Some have said that the psychoactive drugs that were so popular in the 60's, 70's, and 90's have shaped the minds of those who now claim to see ghosts. They suggest that those who claim to have had paranormal experiences should "see someone" for help - or worse, medication! Some communities even negatively judge those who have had such an experience, and believe they should be religiously shunned or ridiculed. But perhaps there is both a deeper explanation of our increasing interest in the paranormal and an increased number of paranormal incidences, as well.

If either is true, that there are 1) more people having these experiences and 2) we are more accepting of the possibilities of what could be - then it is fairly safe to say that we, as a people, are moving towards a state of increased awareness. Some people refer to it as being part of a higher consciousness, or many people having a collective consciousness. This does not in any way imply that we should believe the same. We are all individual people, each having our own set of personal and religious beliefs. Many will argue that their own beliefs are correct, but all over the world - people from all walks of life and religious backgrounds (as well as those who have no religious beliefs) are beginning to share something unique and fantastic in common - paranormal and unexplained experiences.

Dos and Do Nots of Ghost Hunting

There are many dos and don't dos associated with ghost hunting. To name a few:

DON'T FREAK OUT - if something is seen, and definitely not in front of clients!
Respect the dead and the supernatural - do not step on their graves or gravestones, talk nicely.
Don't whisper or behave in a secretive or suspicious manner.
Don't go on a ghost hunt alone.
Don't tresspass.
Don't litter, and pick up after yourselves.
Be willing to train and attend team meetings.
Don't hunt in bad weather.
DO have an open mind.
DO have fun.

Cemeteries, museums, residential homes, churches, hospitals, parks - it doesn't matter. Ghost hunting is fun, if you follow the rules. They're there for a reason.

Tools of the Trade

there are many tools and equipment that the ghost hunters use during an investigation. All kinds of knick-knack's and toys, well not really toys. Some of this equipment the ghost hunters have can run into thousands of dollars. These include:

EVP recorders
EMF readers
Video, Microphones
Infrared, Binoculars
35mm cameras, Digital cameras
Motion Sensors
Flashlights, Extra Batteries
2-way Radios
Laptops (including various programs)
Extra Clothing

You also have to consider that if you have a team - you have multiple tools to hand out. Oh, oh - and SUVs or vans to carry the team!

Author's Thoughts: There are some people that are on Paranormal Investigation Teams that have the gift of being able to "feel" the energy of spirits. Then there are also some of us that just don't have that vibe and need to resort to the equipment and the tools of the trade. If going on a ghost hunt is in your plans for the near future, you might want to consider a couple of things. First: Ghost hunting is like fishing. Gear up and get ready to stay a while and "hurry up and wait" (ths U.S. Army's favorite saying) not every investigation is going to show positive findings. As a matter of fact, most hunting trips you come up empty. You have to learn to be patient and have a positive outlook on things. A good rule to follow is: 1 out of 10 hauntings that you investigate are going to show a positive finding and real evidence, meaning it could take some time. But don't be discouraged, it's normal. Even for the best of us. Hey, but when you do really see a ghost or some kind of paranormal activity, Prepare! And if you are a skeptic, then hold onto something stable, because it will scare the crapola out of you. I enjoy seeing the expression on the skeptic's face, now that's funny!

Exploring the World of Ghost Hunters and Paranormal Investigators

Most people don't realize how may haunted places there are here in the great state of Oregon. There are literally over 150 places of business reported to be haunted by visitors, caretakers, and patrons, and this is not including private residences that report paranormal activity.

One out of 10 paranormal sounds or sightings are provide true and positive findings. It seems that today, ghosts and paranormal activity are the subject of many conversations, and many people's favorite topic. Ghosts, hauntings, and paranormal activity - I get a lot of questions about all of it. Most people want to know how to go about an investigation of a haunting or report of ghostly activity, but let me tell you - it's not easy. You typically spend a good amount of money, time and energy with few rewards in return. But when you see or hear something that is unexplainable by every definition of modern science or other debunking methods, it is so worth it.

There are a lot of "Do"s and "Don't"s in this field, and although no regulations exist, and there is no experience necessary, there is a certain amount of courage of knowhow that is required, as well as an understanding of what you could be dealing with. It's not just going in and - Wham - ghosts! There are ways of doing things, and things to remember that keep the team safe - and more importantly - maintaining control over reactions, or in other words - Don't freak out.

Some paranormal investigations companies function much in the same way as Ghost P.A.R.T.I. in that we are a team of people from various walks of life that have an interest in and a belief that there is something else in our presence - beyond just ourselves. Ghost hunters and paranormal investigators use each and every outing as a learning or training experience, and exist generally to satisfy personal need, to debunk ghosts and hauntings, or to find or capture proof that something unexplainable exists.

One of the famous "Do"s is to try to talk to a ghost if you encounter one. (Ha Ha Ha!) Well it's true. Ask questions, permission to take pictures, explain what you are doing to try to provoke a response from the possible entity. But again, remember not to freak out! It is an extremely common response, but don't do it anyway! Be nice and compassionate and talk clearly. There are different types of ghosts or entities that you may encounter, but we will discuss those in another post. Most commonly, people experience what is referred to as a "residual" haunting, and are generally considered a safe type of experience. This may include a feeling of presence, sounds of footsteps or voices, and may be heard or seen at specific times.

Our First Team Adventure

Damascus, OR: We arrived at Safeway to meet up around 11:30 p.m. There were just three of us that night, including myself, CJ, and another local volunteer. We set out to arrive at the Pioneer Cemetery in Damascus around midnight.

Upon first arrival, we sorted out our equipment, an EMF reader, an EVP recorder, 2 digital cameras, 2 35mm cameras, binocular-camera, night vision lenses and light filters, video, and 2-way radios. We were set! The ground was still soggy from the recent rains, and weather was still slightly misty and cold.

Passing through the entrance, we slowly began to separate - each one of eager to find something unexplainable. Although each one of us had our fair share of "spooky" graveyard moments, with strange shadows, eerie creaking tree branches, and the general feeling of "someone following" us, the night seemed rather uneventful. There were a few spots that seemed to draw us near, but no apparent paranormal activity on that night.

We still have around 50 to 70 pictures to go through from that night, as well as some video to watch. We stayed for about 3 hours, each one of us feeling similar - nothing special or strange was happening in our presence. Around 3 a.m. we decided that we would wrap it up and try again another night.
